The Role

We are looking for a Security Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operational work behind Ijeoma.

This is a hands-on coordination role. It is suited to someone who is highly organised, dependable, proactive and comfortable following tasks through to completion.

You will support security-related coordination, administration, operational follow-up and practical execution. This is not a strategy or policy role.

The role is remote, but you must be based in Abuja.

What You’ll Work On

• Coordinate day-to-day security operations and related administrative tasks.
• Track operational actions, follow-ups and outstanding issues through to completion.
• Maintain accurate records, contact information and operational documentation.
• Support coordination with external contacts, service providers and relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with practical arrangements relating to field activity, meetings and operational requirements.
• Follow up on time-sensitive requests and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
• Support the verification and organisation of operational information where required.
• Maintain discretion when handling sensitive information and operational matters.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in security operations, operational coordination, administration or a related field.
• Currently based in Abuja, Nigeria.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks reliably.
• Strong follow-through and attention to detail.
• Comfortable taking responsibility for practical execution without continuous supervision.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Professional judgement and discretion.
• Able to work calmly when priorities change or tasks become time-sensitive.
• Comfortable working remotely while remaining responsive and accountable.

Useful Experience

• Experience in private security, protective services, NGO security, field operations, logistics or similar operational environments.
• Experience maintaining incident, operations or administrative records.
• Familiarity with Abuja and its operating environment.
• Experience coordinating with multiple external parties.
• Hausa language ability is preferred, but not essential.

Working Arrangement

This is a remote role requiring someone who is currently based in Abuja and available to begin promptly.
