The Role

The Content & Media Assistant supports how Ijeoma communicates its work to public and professional audiences.

The role combines digital content, media support, community engagement and selected field-based content production.

It suits someone who understands how to translate serious subjects into clear, useful and engaging communication without losing credibility.

What You’ll Work On

• Create and prepare digital content across Ijeoma’s public communication channels.
• Adapt content appropriately for different audiences and platforms.
• Support educational and editorial content related to safety, movement and risk awareness.
• Assist with interviews, field content and other public-facing media activities where required.
• Support community engagement and day-to-day management of Ijeoma’s digital presence.
• Maintain organised content schedules and support the wider marketing and communications team.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong understanding of digital and social media content.
• Ability to shoot and edit short-form video.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Good judgement when communicating sensitive or serious subjects.
• Comfortable conducting interviews and working with members of the public where required.
• Based in Nigeria.
• Able to work independently and manage assigned work reliably.

Useful Experience

• Communications, journalism, media, marketing or related experience.
• Interest in security, technology, intelligence or social-impact work.
• A portfolio of digital content, including work created for personal or professional accounts.
• Basic visual-design or content-production skills.

Working Arrangement

This role is primarily remote, with occasional field-based work where required.
